[Hiori wasn't having a good month! There had been two murders already and two executions afterwards. To think that the mother-like Rhea would murder someone just last week was a bit much for her to believe. She must have had a really good reason, though Hiori couldn't remember the motive.

She barely remembered motives anyway. They were just things to make them fight amongst themselves. The mastermind behind this, the Cultivator or whoever, really was a giant jerk. Still... they couldn't judge him or any of the murderers. Whatever feelings, whatever motives they had driving them...

They were theirs alone. Each trial was a struggle to get through but she never let herself show it. People needed her smiling face to help them along. Really, she was the opposite of--]

Ah, Alice! You're here! It's late, isn't it? Should I get you some snacks?

[Alice. One of the least trustworthy people in the building but Hiori didn't really judge her, either. She waved enthusiastically. The gardens were pretty, at least. A good place for a talk, Hiori thought.]
